With the Persian New Year being at the corner and Iranians preparing Haft-sin items, the goldfish market is thriving in the country.

As the people in different cities of Iran are busy getting ready to celebrate the New Year, goldfish sellers have chosen the busy streets to showcase aquariums and glass tanks with attractive designs full of fish to attract the attention of any passer-by.

The goldfish is part of the Haft-sin (seven words initiating with /S/), which is a traditional table that symbolizes life, fertility and love as a whole, and requires all members of the family to gather around at the moment the New Year begins.
